Four Year Old Preschool
Schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Our 4-year-old curriculum focuses on further development of social and academic skills. Journaling and new language concepts are introduced. In addition to circle time, crafts and sensory activities, children participate in reading/writing readiness activities, science and math projects that prepare them for kindergarten.
Fridays for four-year-olds is based on an alphabet curriculum. The crafts, music, movement, snack and story are all selected to emphasize the special letter of the day. Though not intended to explicitly teach phonics, the children are immersed in language which results in phonemic awareness and reading readiness learned in the best way — through play!
Our newly added enrichment option will provide students with more kindergarten readiness skills. Being able to eat lunch in a set amount of time with peers, thinking critically for science and the “why” behind how things work, and additional child-led play with social engagement opportunities will be included.
Three Year Old Preschool
Schedule: Tues & Thurs from 9:30am -12pm
Children in the 3 Year Old Program will engage in free-choice play time, group time, art, music, snack time and outdoor play. Parents are not required to stay with their child in this program, but are more than welcome to do so if they wish.
Our 3-year-old curriculum begins with learning classroom routine. Children participate in free play and structured group time. They develop their listening skills through daily themes discussed in circle time. Crafts and sensory activities are designed to improve motor and social skills. As the year progresses more language, science, and math concepts are introduced as appropriate.
Parent-Tot Program
Mondays or Wednesdays from 9:45 am-11:15 am
The Parent-Tot program is a branch of the Preschool where parents participate with their child in both planned and unstructured activities that allow children to learn and explore through their senses.
